What do you love about your work with the Karori Senior Social Drama class?
It gives me a unique opportunity to hear people’s life stories, told in their own voice and then together we play with these stories in joyful creative ways. I have so much fun each week, it absolutely gives me energy for my other work!
What is your other work?
Mostly directing projects for different companies, which keeps my brain busy! I’m working with NZ Opera in schools. And I sing with Whakaahuru – The Gentle Singers (learn more about the music we provide for people in palliative care).
What’s great about the Karori group?
This group lifts my spirits every week with their laughter, warmth and friendship. Over the past five years, they have created a great bond between themselves, welcoming newcomers along the way, and this shines through in the way they look out for and care about one another.
